Hand Painted Floor Cloths and Tapestries
Custom hand painted floor cloths and tapestries are designed to meet your specific decorating style. Our floor cloths are treated with a flexible varnish and finished with bowling alley wax. When placed on your floor with a very thin, non-skid mat underneath, the floor cloth can be walked on and furniture can be placed on it. Floor cloths are meant to lay on hard surfaces (ie: wood floors) and not on carpet due to carpet's squishy nature. Floor cloths can be cleaned with a damp cloths and they can be created in any shape desired (ie: circular, rectangular, etc.). Our artist or home decorator will work with you to create a custom floor cloth or tapestry design. Once a design is agreed upon, a 50% deposit is required prior to painting and the balance is due upon completion.
Price quotes can be given over the phone once a design is decided upon. The example above retails for $630. This floor cloth measures 3 feet x 6 feet and is hand painted using an overall pattern with 3 boarders. The material used above is treated cambric, which provides a very smooth surface. Heavy linen may be used to produce a rough, rug-like feel as well.
